Facility: Elevation 6,512 Feet. Indoor, 25 yards, 10 lane pool. 8 lanes of competition, 1 lane in competition pool for continuous warm up. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. Water depth varies from 13 fr to 4’ – 6” at the start end, and 7ft to 4’-6” at the turn end. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4).
Timing: Colorado Timing System with touch pads and 8-lane display board will be used for all events with the exception of 25 yard events which will use stop watches for times. Back-up timing will consist of one button and two stopwatches. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software will be used.
Schedule: Saturday Sessions: Warm-up 11:30 A.M. Start 12:30pm
There will be a 20 minute warm up concluding Session 1 on Saturday.
Session 2 will begin immediately following this warmup.
Sunday Session: Warm-up 9:00 AM Start 10:00 AM
Eligibility: Open to all swimmers holding a 2010-2011 USA Swimming membership cards. Any swimmer that appears on the CSI exceptions report without registration must come to the meet prepared to show their card or they will be deck registered before they can enter the water. A surcharge for deck registration will also apply, $27.00 for year round, $14.00 for seasonal plus the normal registration fee”. No entrant will be permitted unless the entrant is a member as provided in Article 302.
Entry Limit
and Fees: Swimmers may compete in a maximum of four (4) individual events per day.
Due to the number of swimmers expected, the meet will be limited to approximately the first 225 swimmers received. Teams will not be split up (this pertains only to entries received at the same time while still under the cap of 225 swimmers.
$25.00 flat entry fee per swimmer.
$25.00 team surcharge for teams sending hand written entries.
$ .60 for each entry fee goes to the CSI Fund and $.15 per event goes to Zone 4.
Make your check (one only per team) payable to: Durango Rocky Mountain Swimming (DRMS).
Awards: In accordance with our agreed Western Slope goals to keep entry fees low,
there will no individual awards. Each swimmer will receive a
participation award.
Scoring: The meet will be scored to eight (8) places:
Individual Events: 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Team scores will be kept and announced. Events will be broken into 8
and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 and over for scoring purposes.
Entry Process: All entries must be on a master sheet or on Hy-Tek Commlink file. Teams sending a hand written entry sheet are subject to a $25.00 fee. “No Time” or incorrect times will be placed in the slowest heat. Times for all events should be in SCY. All entries must be accompanied by a current Colorado Swimming Meet Verification Form. Please provide the names of coaches who will be attending the meet for Coaches Packet preparation.
Preferred Entry Method: E-mail entries are preferred. Please provide Total Athletes and Total Individual Entries in your e-mail. The Entry Chair will confirm e-mail entries. Confirmed e-mailed entries will not need to send the diskette or Entry Reports. Checks and Meet Verification forms for e-mail entries must be postmarked by Monday October 18th, 2010.
Entries by Mail: Please send Team Manager Report of meet entries by swimmer with a cd.
Entry Deadline: All entries must be received no later than 6:00 pm, Monday, October 18th, 2010. Entries received after this deadline will be treated as late entries and will be subject to double fees.

Programs/
Concessions: Programs will be available online .
Results: Results will be e-mailed within five (5) days to teams entered in the meet.
Rules: 1. Current USA Swimming rules will govern the procedures of the meet.
2. Age as of October 23th will determine the swimmers’ age group for competition. Swimmers may swim in only one age group per event.
3. The Meet Referee will have the final authority on all swimming procedures of the meet.
4. Colorado Swimming, Inc. procedures for warm-up will be observed.
5. Warm-ups may be split depending on final entry numbers.
6. Late entries MAY be accepted, at double entry prices, IF there is room in empty lanes - FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Coaches MUST declare adds/scratches no later than 30 minutes before the start of each session. All deck entries must present proof of current registration—no exceptions will be made.
7. The meet will be pre-seeded.
8. All events will be timed finals.
9. Only swimmers registered in the meet are allowed to use the competition and warm-up cool-down portions of the facility. Anyone wishing to use the water park or any other portion of the Recreation Center must register at the front desk for a daily admission pass.
10. At the Referee’s discretion, events may be combined by age, sex and/or distance.
11. All swimmers must be under the supervision of a member coach. Swimmers without a coach must report to the meet director or meet referee to make such arrangements or supervision.
12. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Distance Events: 400 IM
1. The 400 IM will be deck seeded.
2. Positive check-in to swim will be required for the 400 IM. Swimmers or their coach must check in at the Clerk of the Course by 2:00 pm.
3. Swimmers must provide their own timers (2).
4. The 400 IM will swim fastest to slowest, alternating girls and boys with a combined heat possible at the discretion of the referee.
5. There will be a courtesy time standard of 6:45 for the 400 IM.
500 Freestyle
1. The 500 free will be deck seeded.
2. Positive check-in to swim will be required for the 400 free. Swimmers or their coach must check in at the Clerk of the Course by 2:00 pm.
3. The 500 free will swim fastest to slowest, alternating girls and boys, with a combined heat possible at the discretion of the referee.
4. There will be a courtesy time standard of 6:30 for the 400 free.
5. Swimmers must provide their own timers (2) and counters.
Coaches/Officials: All coaches and uniformed officials must display their USA cards when on deck. Current certification is mandatory. Coaches that are in non-compliance will not be allowed on deck. A mandatory Officials meeting will be held at the start of warm-up for each session, each day of the meet.
